So, at the weekend we played at the Queen of Hoxton and at Saki Bar in Manchester. They were both lovely gigs, and we must say hyper-thanks to everyone who helped with our music video by saying “Chop!” to camera. We have over a hundred chops from a hundred different people now, and a quick look at the recordings confirm that there are a lot of pretty faces, looking awesome. A stellar amount of exciting haircuts too. Largely thanks to Hoxton and East End fash, but what Manchester didn’t have in esoteric hair design, it made up for in vibes (and drunkenness), and we were very happy to have queues by the toilets where we were filming, even with some people trying to do it twice!
The video will be ready to view kinda soon, there will be a lot of animation and special magic inserted by our primo visualist DZ Samu. In the meantime, how about you have a crack on our Making Of Chopchopchopchopchop music video video instead? It features Lorien’s fingers wearing leopard print pants, dancing on a typewriter, coming on to owls, playing limited edition Shampoo Vinyls and playing a bass made out of toast.
Also, my ever-so-delightful girlfriend Fay provides lip service with a green screen face. Bless her cotton socks.
